I'm constantly getting emails, facebook messages, and skype convos about how awesome people think I am all because I go barefoot. Really, though, I'm just like everyone else.

[40504.jpg]

I buy cake mixes because I'm too lazy to much it from scratch. (In my defense, making gluten-free cake from scratch is totally way more of a pain than not gluten-free cake.)

[40503.jpg]

I put my feet on the dashboard.

[40502.jpg]

I get suckered into buy overpriced chocolate by little girls trying to raise money for their soccer trip.

[40501.jpg]

I try to look good for boys I hope I have a chance with.

[40500.jpg]

I do dishes.

[40499.jpg]

And my feet get dirty in the process.

Here's the terribly blurry temporary video that will only be up until I get the better one done.

To be fair though, you are brave. You are happy to have your bare feet photographed in public and stuff what people think. And then take the time to share it on here.

I would love to see some head to toe shots of you in that busy cinema showing off your feet to the camera, or a busy club, or in that Mall, but sitting on a seat and actually holding your feet up to the camera and smiling - that makes such a bold statement. "Here are my feet, and I dont care what passers by think!"

Keep em bare sweetheart, and post again soon!

Your update is lovely. I like your honest smile of good girl, and how your feet look. They are a bit wide on the front and your toes are slightly spread...Your feet tell they are used to be free, and that they belong to a true, hardcore barefooter.

Your soles don't look rough, how have they adapted to the new city environment and surfaces? It would be nice to see some close ups of them or, even better, some scans.

When will you start with the weekly dares you promised?

I am glad that you're having fun and enjoying life. You have good friends here in the forum who are showing you their support. You're definitely our Barefoot Queen.

Hope to see the next part of the update with new pics and the video soon!

My apologies to everyone for the delay on my video! I made it but it's incredibly blurry. I have two options right now: I can post the blurry on so you at least have something to listen to, if nothing else, until I get a better one done, or I can just wait until the better quality one is done. I think I'm going to put up the bad one for now, because it's better than nothing in my opinion, but it will only be up for a short time until I get the better one. Does that sound like an acceptable temporary solution to everyone?

OK, the incredibly terrible blurry video is up, and I will get a better one done as soon as humanly possible! Sorry about the poor quality!

Hi Sierra

Yes, the video is blurry.

Yes, the video is terrible low quality.

But indeed, the video is GREAT!

This is the very first time in all CF history that a true, real barefooter girl talks to us, answers our questions and happily shares her barefoot life with us, that she's willing to do all kind of dares, to put the soles of her feet through all kinds of things to show us how commited she really is to barefooting, her way of life, because, as you stated well, that's who you are.

What you're doing Sierra is amazing! I think I talk in the name of everybody here when I say thank you for being there, thank you for being real. You're really amazing, believe it or not.

I am sure lots of more questions and dares will come soon. First things first: you already have a "menu" of dares to test your soles, begin with that and then new ones will come.

About more questions...well, I can think of some more such as:

-¿What's the most difficult thing your feet have been through? ("Shoes" is not a valid answer, ha ha!)

-What's the worst surface you can walk barefoot onto? Show us!

-Do some people like you to be a barefooter? Ever got nice words on your feet, such as how beautiful they are, etc.?

-How have your soles changed now that you live in the city? Are they rougher? Close ups and scans please! :-)

-How do you manage scorching hot pavement in the Summer? Do you walk faster, or by the shade?

-Would you like doing a "Barefoot Travel" session for City Feet? Leaving your shoes home and traveling to another town for three or four days, documenting everything?

-Have you attended classes barefoot? How did your teachers, friends react?

-How is it to walk barefoot on the snow?

-Please talk about your daily 5k running, and show us your new track.

-Ever got a positive comment about living barefoot? Encouragement?

-Do people want to see the bottom of your feet, to feel the tough rough skin? Do you allow them to? What do they say? Do they like them?

-Do you feel nervous, afraid about the dares, about putting the soles of your feet through endurance tests?

-Ever ran a race barefoot? Did you win? Do you think you could win a runner who wears shoes?

-Will you spend the whole Winter barefoot, or you think the cold weather will finally confine your feet to warm prisons?

-How did your family react when they finally found out that you were serious about barefooting, about wearing shoes only when strictly necessary? And your friends? Do they support you? Is someone still trying to convince you to wear shoes again?

-How do you see yourself in 10, 20 years... do you think you'll still be a hardcore barefooter by then, or not anymore?

-How has people in your new town, neighbourhood reacted to Sierra the Barefoot Girl? Do they make comments, they don't care at all, are indifferent?

-What do your friends say about you being Sierra the Barefoot Queen? Do they like your Diary, the pictures you post here?

-Do you mind having rough soles? Dirty ones? Do you like them?

-Ever shown your dirty soles on purpose to passer byes to see how do they react?

-Do you pamper your feet in any special way? How do you take care of them?

-How it was that you started running barefoot on sharp gravel?

-Do you plan to walk barefoot on a building site, abandoned building, junkyard, etc. for future updates?

-What are the more barefoot-friendly places you usually go?

-Are you getting famous in your town because you don't wear shoes?

-How is it going barefoot to church?

-What's the most difficult surface you've walked barefoot onto, the one that demands the most of you, the one that you fear the most?

-Is there any surface or place that hard that not even you dare to walk barefoot there?

-How does it feel being our Barefoot Queen? :-)

Once again, thanks for the excellent work you're doing...it's clearly not a work, but your life, your passion. It is YOU, and you're magical.

Regards

DG
