Hello everybody!
Today is the first day of my experiment :)
I'm starting to diarize about my 2010 barefoot year:)
It's the first year when I was tried to walk barefoot and now I love to walk this way so much)
Few days ago I've come back from Spain and of course I walked barefoot very much time there. I have many good impressions about this tour and so I wanna tell you about it and show spanish photos!
Hope you'll like it!

So it's the day of arrival. I decided to feel the sea a little bit and find out the area:)

Hi, Polina! It looks like climate in Spain is rather hot even in winter and could be compared with Russian summer (not previous one)? What was your impression about city conditions in different countries (e.g. personal feelings while barefoot walks)?

¡Bienvenida Polina!

Welcome!

It's great to see you've begun your diary, thanks for sharing your experiences as a barefooter with us, hope to read you back soon!

How it was that you discovered barefooting, how did you decide to become a barefooter? How often do you walk barefoot outdoors, in the street in public places? Did it take long for your soles to get accustomed, toughened up? On what kind of surfaces are you able to walk barefoot now?

Welcome again, it's great to have you here.

Cheers!

¡Hola!
Glad to see you here!
I was in Alicante almost 2 weeks and climate on the seaboard is very good, near 12-18 degrees. Only few days it was cloudy. But often it was windy and I worn warm jacket and sweater. And nobody was barefoot or in sandals )
Russian summer is hotter, thanks God)

30 December we went to Madrid, there was cold. Many people had down-padded coats and gloves. I’ll attach those photos later)

At summer to be barefoot in Russia and in Spain similarly. But in other seasons Spain more comfortable and clear. It is raining rarely and soil is dry.

I discovered barefooting by accident. I decided to take part in barefoot photosession and liked it so much. I tired to be barefoot more and more, there was a summer in Russia so it wasn’t a problem.
Now I come back in Russian winter :) Every morning before breakfast I gallop outside and few minutes jump at snow)) decided to train and make my feet hardy)
For the present my feet are sensitive as yet)

Hi Polina!

It's great that you have decided to train and make your feet harder.

How hard and tough do you want your soles to be?

On what kind of surfaces do you want to be able to walk barefoot onto?

It's nice you want your soles to be hard and rough, most girls like their feet soft but not you, cool!

It will be great if you document the toughening process your soles go through...please take weekly close ups and scans of your soles, so that you can put them in a gallery, like a timeline, to see how your soles change, how they get harder, thicker, rougher and become true leather, OK? Hope you like this project.

I am sure that in few weeks you'll be able to put your soles through endurance tests, do you want to, what kind of tests do you have in mind?

Please post those pics of you climbing a rocky mountain barefoot.

Cheers!

Hi Polina

Glad to know you liked the timeline project! It will be wonderful to see how the soles of your feet gradually become thicker, harder and rougher, just like leather...cool!

Will you take pictures of your soles daily? Weekly? Maybe to begin you can take daily pictures, then move to twice a week and then weekly, what do you think?

Regards

Polina, talking about climate at current time in the Russia one thing poses difficulty more than anything else - ice. How do you cope with it while small barefoot walks or some 'workaround' take place?

It is amazing, you started your diary with pictures from Spain, and now you are living there!
