Sorry about the lack of updates! I just got out of the hospital with pneumonia and I'm still really sick, so it will probably be about another week before you get any more updates, but when I'm back I'm going to do the cigarette dare and some more interview questions.

Pneumonia? Oh, God, that's serious! How did it happen?

Hope you get well soon Sierra, keep yourself warm, take your medicine and take care on you.

It started as bronchitis that I picked up at work, and then quickly turned into pneumonia because I didn't give myself enough rest. I spent 2 nights in the ER, but I'm ok now. Peter took very good care of me. A surprise is coming in the next post!

Sierra, I wish you a VERY FAST AND COMPLETE recovery.

About barefooting, please, be cautious at least to cold (!).

I EXACTLY know the feeling you're experiencing when you bare your feet, believe me: that's the precise feeling of being completely UNSTOPPABLE, even if it could be considered an illogical thought.

But ... frostbites and a pneumonia are little indications you shouldn't ignore, imho. OK, they're both NOT directly related to barefooting, but ... don't underestimate cold, please: it's a tremendous opponent for barefooters, because if a stony path beats you, bruises in soles heal in a few days (maybe it's harder for bruises in pride, but this is another matter and I'm pretty sure nothing similar could happen to you), while if cold takes you over your limits, it can be a very serious thing (!).

I know your ... mind would anwser "no worry, I'll take care", while your... soul and stomach would answer "are you supposing I've a weakness? ... barefoot Sierra has no weaknesses in bare feet, my only weakness is... shoes!" :)

I know it simply because I've been in love for years with a barefooter with your same spirit. :)

But ONLY about COLD ... let your rationality have a little say in matter. ;)

A BIG hug,

F.
