Clay's farewell weekend

My cousin Clay is leaving to serve a mission for our church in Portland for two years at the end of the month so his family held a big party for everyone to come see him one last time before he left. Peter and I went down just in time - a huge storm hit a few hours later and blocked all the roads. Most of our family was able to make it though. In fact, so many people showed up that I had to go outside just to get away from them all.

My feet are so hot that they melted the snow on the porch!

We waited a few days for the snow to clear before heading back, and we took it slow, stopping at a few tourist attractions on the way. We made a 2 hour stop in Calgary to visit a store Peter has always wanted to go to. Outside, we found this awesome statue.

We also went to an aquarium and spent another 45 minutes looking at the fish.

A journey that should only have taken us 5 hours ended up taking us an entire day. But we didn't care. We had the time of our lives. Quite possibly the best date ever.
