After that she went to the street and our photographer followed her everywhere and made excellent shots of Alenka's dirty feet. Alenka's first barefoot experience. Part 1. Is is very interesting every time to see the first barefoot experiences of the girls. This day was Alenka's first barefoot experience. Just have a look, how carefully she tried to step on sharp gravel and how thoroughly she rubbed little pebble off her soles. Her soft skin on heels step by step became hard and dark. In the bay our girls met two men, that tried to get aquainted with them in the taxi. The men accompanied Mila and Aliona to the cafe, that was hardly found in the village (everything was closed because in the end of the tourist season). When the girls made some shots with those men, the guys became anxious. When Mila explained to them, where would the photos be posted, they demanded to delete all the photos with their faces. The boys insisted, that to show bare feet is bad. Even the Medieval women were obliged not to show their bare soles because it considered to be extremely sexy. In the evening the girls feet bacame very dirty and hard. The skin on the girls' heels grew rude like emery with grazes, left after the mountains. This day Aliona celebrated her birthday. She got up earlier then Mila and made a pretty video-clip of the other girl, while she was sleeping. After the breakfast the girls went to the Golden Beach. Since that day the cold snap began. On the way to the bus stop we went to the market to buy some nail varnish. The girls spent much time, choosing the nail varnish. Aliona even tried some colours on her and Mila's nails. The sales-assistant asked the girls why they were without shoes on such a cold slushy weather and the asphalt is littered with garbage. Mila and Aliona explained to her that they really liked to walk without shoes and were not affraid of the litter around. Then Aliona and Mila went to a butique. The sales-assistant was worrying that our barefoot girls could take a cold on the cool floors of the shop and tried tio give them a carpet. When at least the girls had got to the beach, there was very windy there. It was extremely cold for swimming and the girls becan to run along the beach. It was very pleasant to run on the along the beach, but as it later turned out, the sand was not so soft as it seemed first. There were a lot of cutting garbage, littered all over the sand. Aliona had a swim at least. There waves were extremely high and the girl hurt her leg and couldn/t walk without shoes all the next day. In the evening everybody went to the restorant to celebrate Aliona's birthday. 05/10/05 The weather was not favourable and our girls went to the shooting-range, where Aliona made excellent photos of shooting Mila. After that Aliona and Mila went to the Grin's gallery. It was a surprise for us,k that nobody prevented us from taking photo and video in this museum. 06/10/05 (6915-6972) Next day our models went by car to Koktebel. On the way the girls made a stop in the mountains to enjoy the excellent side from the viewing point to the Klymentyev mountain – the favourite place of the sky-serfers. That day Aliona put on her shoes because of the hurt, that she got a day before in the sea. The girls had a walk along the sea front and visited a tasting room. 08/10/05 This day was very reach for the events. Early in the morning the girls went to the old city, where the streets stayed unchanged for centuries. There were a lot of picturesque old houses and paved streets there. Mila and Aliona visited the tomb of the famoust russian morencite Aivazovsky. After the walk along the old Feodosia streets, the girls went to the amusement park. There were nobody except our girls there, so they really had a good time, riding toy horses and suns in the park and taking photo and video. The next point on the agenda was a famous Art Gallery, where the girls decided to choose some laces and braslets for their feet. At least the girls bought four pretty braslets, but the shot assistants were very displeased because they had to serve strange barefoot girls, who were very nagging in choosing the braslets. Then our girls went to the International Aivazovsky Art Gallery - the mansion, where the great painter lived and worked. It was prohibited to take photos there, but it was OK to take video. In the gallery the custodians met the girls unfriendly and from time to time looked at their bare feet with unfavourable eye. After the Galery the girls again went to the beach and spent there some time, running on the pebble here and there. According to Mila's impressions, it was very difficult to run on the pebble because one barefoot week is not enough to make feet rough. Soon after the dinner in a restaurant the girls went to a wedding-shop, where they had arrange time for a photosession. The shop-assistant was very anxious for the white purity of the wedding dresses, so she insisted that our girls should wash not only their hands, but also their soles. 09/10/05 In the morning Aliona and Mila got to the train to Moscow. Before the departure the girls managed to make some excellent shots on the platform. Thier hard and tired feet drew attention of all the people on the station. When we returned to Moscow, we had to put on warm clothes and (to the girls' disappointment) – shoes because the girls arrived early in the morning and it was very cold outside. 2005-12-29 20:44:05

Mila was astonished, that Alena was seeing off by a new boy-friend. He felt himself uneasy because his girl-friend was walking in the metro without shoes and, to say more, was posing to a photo camera. The girls didn’t take the risk of making video in the metro as they were afraid to be taken not to Feodosia, but to prison… ;) So Alena’s boyfriend just stood in the girl’s way and confused them as he was indignant with their photo session. It was a dull and cold day in Moscow. Several days before the trip Mila took a cold. So she was taking medicine and tried not to leave home to get ready for the voyage. Alena became frozen on the cool wind while the girls were waiting for the train at the railway station as well. At the station our girls’ soles soon became black with dirt, and they had to beware of sharp glass, that was scattered on the dark platform all around. The conductor didn’t even noticed our girls’ bare feet and only once asked Alena, whether it was cold to walk without shoes on the cool stop at night. There was customs between Russia and the Ukraine. 01/10/05 (6544-6586) In the morning it became extremely cold in the train. So Mila and Alena had to put on warm woolen socks. When the sun rose, it became warmer. The girls’ compartment neighbors were pleasant militiaman with his wife. They looked with interest at our barefoot girls when they left the train on the stops and stations and took video and photo of each other. But they never asked the girls, why were they doing this, though they talked with the girls with pleasure and tasted them with wine and sausage. In one small Ukraine town, where we left the train, a salesman asked, looking at Mila and Alena with wide-eyed astonishment, why were they walking without shoes on the dirty station?! Alena got acquainted there with a boy from a neighbor compartment, who was extremely interested with the girls’ bare feet, but was very shy to have his picture taken with Mila or Alena. The salesmen on the stations looked at the girls’ bare feet, forgetting about their goods. One of them came closer to Mila and Alena to see our soles in details and was astonished, how the girls could travel in such way. Alena and Mila got to Feodosia quite quickly. In Feodosia the girls were met by their relatives. And at home there was ready a tasty dinner for them and flowers in each room! After dinner the girls went to the sea to touch the water. The sea turned out to be very warm and, what was a surprise – there were a lot of people on the quay, though it was October! Each girl had her own room and they went to bed because they were extremely tired after the trip.. 02/10/05 (6587-6750) Mila’s grandma awoke the girls at 9 a.m. They changed the money and went to the railway station to buy tickets back. There was a short queue to the ticket window. The floor was quite cool and the people in the queue got interested in the girls’ bare feet, especially one man, why endlessly asked Alena and Mila about the photos – where would they be posted and for whom. He also asked to photo him with the girls. At least he made a photo of Alena and Mila together – that was the only photo, where the girls were together. After the girls bought their tickets, they went to the beach and their feet became warm because of the hot asphalt in the city. It was very difficult for girls to walk barefoot on the stones as they were not used to such surfaces. Alena swam that day twice and Mila didn’t even touch the water because of her sore throat. Then Alena asked Mila to cover her with pebble and to jump on her back a little. What a pity that they didn’t manage to make a video with this scene – as there were nobody, the girls could ask to help them in taking video. The sun was so hot, that the girls soon hurried up back. On the queue the girls noticed a store with carnival medieval costumes. Alena and Mila chose the most beautiful dresses. The store photographer was astonished, when the girls decided to stay barefoot in these dresses and pumped then our girls about their barefoot lifestyle. ...After the photo session in the medieval costumes the girls went sight seeing. And one of the little and picturesque street they found a pretty pub with Mexican cuisine. First our girls were the only visitors of this pub and the barman and young waiters entertained them with pleasure – and even asked the girls to photo them together. When we left the bar, the barmen spooned with his girl-friend. Maybe he told her something about our girls, because they both looked at bare feet of Alena and Mila in astonishment as if it was something strange for them to see barefoot girls in this season. The girls returned home late in the evening and asked the grandma to awake them early next day because they planned to go through the mountains to a remote village with cozy bays, crystal water and mountains. 03/10/05 (6751-6787) In the village the first inhabitants, that met our girls, were pretty little puppets. Alena and Mila couldn’t help playing with them, of course! The way to a beautiful bay was quite long – along three bays and mountains. That was the most severe experience for the girls’ feet! Sharp little pebble clang into their soles. The most difficult thing was to take everything to video – because it was necessary to walk When the girls reached the peak of the mountain, Mila tried to show Alena a trick – she stepped at the edge of the platform… and fell down! I even didn’t understood, how the pebble slipped down under her feet. Alena’s reaction was very quick. She threw away the photo camera and dragged Mila out of the landslide. Alena managed to hurt her arm while saving Mila. But at least the girls had a good day and shared their impressions all the rest of the noon. 2005-11-27 22:18:19

Buying a video camera. On this weekend our girls went to one of the Moscow markets to get ready for their next barefoot travel adventure, and of course, the girls put off their shoes. As you voted for video-clips in the barefoot travel reports, we decided to buy a video-camera. You know, it is quite dangerous to take photos on our marked - the security guard stopped our girls from time to time to make us stop taking photos and make our girls put on their shoes. But we also found friendly shop-assistants, who helped the Mila and Alena to choose the camera. So the girls will åtake video in their next trip! 2005-09-26 18:50:48
